END OF TUTORIAL

Step 1

First thing's first, you need a video of the sky (daytime). That's it, that's all you need. It can be inserted by going to file and the open (like how you would open a document as if you were on Microsoft Word or Powerpoint).

Step 2

Next, make a new composition by going to 'Composition' and then 'New Composition'. Leave the settings at default and click 'OK'. Yes, leave the name as 'Comp 1' too.  If done correctly, the main part should go black.

Step 3

Next, drag your video of the sky into 'Comp 1', as shown below. If you did it right, your video of the sky should appear and it should have an anchor-like icon in the middle.

Step 4

After, go to the 'Effects & Presets' tab and type in 'Rainfall' and 'CC Rainfall' should appear. Then drag 'CC Rainfall into your sky video in the middle of the screen; if done correctly, two lines should appear.

Step 5

Next, another tab should pop up, close that, we don't need to worry about that in this tutorial. The close icon is on the top left of that tab.

Step 6

Next, you're going to add another effect, so go back 'Effects & Presets' and then type in 'Drizzle' and 'CC Drizzle' should come up. Drag that into your sky video, you can close the tab that pops up when you do this. Also, you can move the effect around in the video by going onto the video and dragging it around, move it to where you like it best.

Step 7

After, we have to go to 'Effects & Presets' again and type in 'Lens Flare' and 'Lens Flare' should come up, so drag that into your sky video. DO NOT close the tab that pops up.

Step 8

Now this step is really important so read carefully. Firstly, on the tab that pops up (also known as the 'Effect Controls' tab, go to 'Lens Flare' and underneath that there should be an outline of a stopwatch that says 'Flare Center' next to it. Click that and it should turn blue.

Secondly, go down to the timeline tab at the bottom and 'Lens Flare' should be there in one of the drop down menus (if not then go to the 'Effect Controls' tab and right click on 'Lens Flare' and then click 'Reveal in Timeline'). Then in the timeline there should be a little blue diamond shape in the 'Flare Center' row.

Finally, you have to drag the blue shape (not the diamond) which controls the time of the video, drag it to the end of the video. Then you have to go to 'Lens Center' and next to it there should be some coordinates. Go to the coordinates at the end and drag it along the screen (this makes the lens flare in the video move down) until the lens flare in the video is out of sight.
